FREE Accredited CPD Seminars For Lawyers

Davidsons Forensic Accountants have been providing forensic accounting services for over 30 years, specialising in divorce and dissolution, where a family business is involved. We are now presenting a new series of free seminars for Legal Executives, Solicitors and Barristers throughout England and Wales.

The seminars will be presented by Duncan Barnes MA FCA MAE QDR who is an experienced forensic accountant, expert witness, mediator and public speaker. He has presented seminars to Family lawyers on behalf of MBL Seminars Limited since 2008. He is also a principal tutor with the Academy of Experts.

All seminars can be held at your offices or chambers, at a time and date to suit you. We find these events work best with at least 10 attendees. The seminars are intended to be interactive and there will be ample opportunity to discuss any queries with the Davidsons Divorce team after the seminar.

The seminars, which address a range of topical issues, are shown below. They typically each have a duration of one to one and a half hours and may be combined or tailored to your requirements:

1. Business valuation in the face of uncertainty.
2. Disclosure challenges with the family business.
3. Dealing with director’s loan accounts, dividends, and drawings.
4. Getting to grips with SME company accounts.
5. Dealing with Crypto assets.
6. The changes to Capital Gains Tax upon separation proposed by the Office for Tax Simplification.
