As Forensic Accountants, we are frequently asked to consider hidden assets in both criminal matters and divorce/separation. This article highlights some of the ways in which assets can be hidden from a spouse and follows on from our summary of the red flags to look out for.

We are regularly instructed by spouses or their solicitors who suspect their partner is hiding assets. They want to understand their partner’s finances and determine whether any accounts have been manipulated or assets hidden, which could affect their financial settlement upon divorce or separation. This article highlights some of the red flags to look out for.
